HWDEI Program
The Drake Fraternity and Sorority Life (FSL) community is committed to fostering a culture where health, wellness, diversity, equity, and inclusion (HWDEI) are not only valued, but intentionally integrated into everyday experiences. HWDEI programming serves as the foundation for building a supportive and thriving community, ensuring that all members feel seen, heard, and empowered. By prioritizing both physical and mental well-being alongside diversity, equity, and inclusivity, Drake FSL creates an environment where members can grow and develop meaningful connections.
Health & Wellness initiatives within Drake FSL emphasize the importance of balance, self-care, and accountability. Through education workshops, stigma conversations, and collaborative events, members are encouraged to adopt health habits, seek support when needed, and look out for one another. These efforts aim to reduce stigma around mental health, promote safe social environments, and equip members with lifelong skills for maintaining their well-being.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion programming is central to shaping a community grounded in respect and belonging. Drake FSL actively engages members in different DEI conversations, regarding, but not limited to, identity, privilege, bias, intersectionality and social responsibility, while also celebrating the diversity seen in the community. Through partnerships, training, and intentional programming, members are challenged to think critically, act inclusively, and lead with empathy both within their chapters and beyond campus.
Together, HWDEI initiatives empower members of Drake FSL to become well-rounded leaders who are not only committed to their own growth, but also to uplifting others. By intertwining health, wellness, and DEI efforts, the community continues to evolve into a space where every individual has the opportunity to thrive and feel supported.
