National Pan-Hellenic Council
National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) was founded on May 10, 1930. NPHC is the governing body of 9 historically African American international Greek-lettered fraternities and sororities. All are welcome to join these organizations. Drake University is home to 5 out of the 9 organizations, which are commonly referred to as the “Divine Nine.” Some of the organizations have joint chapters with Iowa State University.
